About The Staff

Julie Bart

Hi, I’m Julie…I am unbelievably happy to have landed at Westlake Hills Vision Center with Dr. Elizondo and our awesome crew.

If you haven’t met me another optical here in Westlake, let me tell you a bit about me.  I moved here 6 years ago with my lovely husband David and beloved aussie Tuesday.  We have a slight obsession with Australian shepherds.  I digress… We live in Briarcliff and love the country life.  The two things I am missing here though are our adult boys..one in Lubbock and the other in Minneapolis.

Our move was from the north, Minn-E-soooota.  you may hear my accent sneak out with certain words and if you ask I can do your entire appointment sounding like the movie Fargo.

Since 1984, I have been in the optical industry.  Honing and perfecting my skills to make the chore of choosing eyewear easy peasy…loaded with laughs and my honest opinion to make you look fabulous.

My belief in fine eyewear and lenses started many years ago when I was working in Minneapolis at a pediatric office.  Realizing children were in dire need for great eyewear and I found my calling.  I helped design lines and colorways for many manufacturers and also did public speaking for ophthalmologists and optometrist regarding children’s eyewear and fit.

After we moved here I struggled to find a place that could utilize my skill set.  I wanted to help fit, but also design and purchase the frames so I could take pride in selling them to all my favorite clients.  I sure do hope to see y’all soon…doncha know.

Mande Busby

My name is Mande Busby & I have been an optician for 6 years.  I began my career in Waco working in a a small, but very busy office that I referred to as my family.  I look forward to many years here at WHVC serving our clients and building those relationships I once had with my new coworkers & clientele here.  I moved to Austin to pursue my career as an optician recently. Prior to being an optician I spent most of my adult life as a cake artist. I have since been retired from the cake industry.

On my downtime I enjoy anything that has to do with art & live music.  Aside from being a full-time optician, I have the wonderful privilege of being a mother to 4 wonderful children of and an amazing grandson.
