I once had a patient tell me that joke. His eyes, unfortunately, were red, white, and blue. Though there can be alot of reasons for redness, in Austin the top 2 culprits are dryness and allergies.
Having dry eyes is not comfortable. It’s also not fun when someone asks if you had a wild night out because of how red your eyes are. Or suggest you’re indulging in something you don’t.
There is a way to clearer, whiter eyes. It involves clearing up the underlying causes of dryness on the front of your eyes.
In a side note, when the eyes are dry, your vision will also suffer. You can never see quite as clearly through a dried up irregular front surface as you can through a clear uniform wet surface.
I’ve gone through the dry eye treatments we have in the office myself. One of the things that I noticed afterwards was that my phone screen was way clearer. I started noticing that the pictures I took were so clear and I actually thought something had changed on my phone then I went back and looked at other pictures on my phone. Yep, they were all clear now. lol
