To the right is the Maui Jim Manchester United frame. Westlake Hills Vision Center is the only optical in Austin that has it. Maui Jim is native to Hawaii. The Hawaiian sun inspired them to design a lens that not only shields the eye, but also improves the color, clarity, and detail of the world around. Their PolarizedPlus2 technology reduces the impact of the sun’s harsh glare while offering relief from a number of long-term health risks.

We carry a mix of independent and designer eyewear lines. Eyewear is the new fashion accessory. See well and look good at the same time. Our trained optician will made sure you pick a frame that is suitable for your prescription. The whole office likes to chime in with their opinion on which style looks best on you. We are always striving to improve our selection and have recently added three new lines to our eyewear collections. We are happy to announce we now carry Alexander McQueen, Gucci, and Plein Les Mirettes.
Alexander McQueen is a British luxury fashion house founded by designer Alexander McQueen in 1992. Its current creative director is Sarah Burton
Giorgio Valmassoi. These are stylish, elegant, comfortable Italian frames. Valmassoi was actually a pro soccer player, and it’s a small family company. He’s passionate; dedicated to fresh ideas, new technology to fulfill customers’ desires utterly. These frames are going to be the big, bold plastics; a lot of round, thick, very cool and intellectual looking designs.
This British brand goes back all the way to the mid-1800s with Thomas Burberry. They began with outdoor-wear & made their way into high-end fashion. That plaid pattern you’ve probably seen has almost become their trademark look.
Plein Les Mirettes (PLM) is our newest optical collection. It was conceived in 2012 from the French designer Christophe Morcamp. He uses heritage blends with futuristic details to delight women of all ages.The brand harmoniously combines style and functionality, modernity and a touch of French elegance to reﬂect an individual woman’s character. Each frame aims at enhancing their personalities. It is for women who want unique glasses without being extravagant
Maui Jim is known for the quality of their lenses and has the hands-down best optics when it comes to prescription sunglasses. Jim Richards started back in 1980 by selling pairs of shades on hotel pool decks in Lahaina, Hawai’i. The polarization of their lenses is fantastic if you are going to be on the water, driving, or on the golf course.
Oakley provides eye protection for the US military and law enforcement. James Jannard founded the company out of his garage in the mid-70’s, named for his English Setter, Oakley Anne. These are your standard, durable, athletic-looking optometric frames. We also carry a lot of their very stylish sunglasses. The optics in their lenses are second to none when it comes to polarized sunglasses.
Ray-Ban has been around for decades—they began back in the 1930s, working on sunglasses for pilots, cutting out glare from all that intensely bright blue & white that aviators are constantly exposed to. Ray-Ban is our classic line. There are staple models, and they’ve also got some very affordable, very cool, big, bold plastic designs—almost hipster-looking frames. We love Ray-Bans!
Tom Ford is a luxury line with ties to Austin. Tom Ford was actually born here in Austin! He made big creative leaps during his years working at Gucci and then broke off into his own brand afterwards. Tom Ford eyewear is just one of our luxury lines for the customer that wants the best and most stylish frames. Frames are fashion now. We have different shoes for different outfits so why not frames.
Modo is a is a very affordable line, but also very sylish and hip with younger, colorful-looking frames. This collection fits with our eco-friendly trend. Modo’s Eco frame line will plant a tree for every frame sold. The brand keeps their designs metropolitan, going for a kind of NYC-Milan-Scandinavia fusion.
