Scleral Lens Fit Series Part 4: Finding the Rx

Corneal Topography

This is part four of our scleral lens fitting series. This video discusses how the lens for the initial fit does not have the correct power for the patient. Once we have a lens that’s fitting properly we will do what’s called an over refraction. We will find the power we need to adjust the lens by so a patient can see clearly. Our hope with the Insight Scleral Lens is that they will see clearly both in the distance and up close. Finding the power needed for the lens is done the same way we find the power we need to put in your glasses at a regular exam.
