What Is a Comprehensive Eye Exam?
Our adult comprehensive eye exams will thoroughly examine your eyes and visual abilities. We’ll ask about your medical history, family medical history and health issues, medications you may take, hospital visits, and your daily lifestyle. These can all impact your vision to varying degrees. We make it a point to discuss your different visual needs and make the best eyewear recommendations possible.

To determine what type of prescription you may need, a refraction test is performed. The refraction test performed by Dr. Elizondo is simple: the patient looks through a device called a phoropter, pointed at an eye chart. Different lenses are tested to see which ones give the patient the clearest, sharpest, best vision.
