We are planning some very exciting changes in the coming year. To give you a little heads up we are planning to change our name.
Why you ask?
1) Well… because we find very few of our clients can remember the full name Westlake Hills Vision Center. In fact, when most of our team members are hired on, they have a difficult time with it as well. They usually have to refer to the door for the first few weeks when answering phone calls.
2) There are many practices in this area whose name starts with Westlake. We have had people come into our office multiple times for an appointment that wasn’t with us. After nicely asking several times, we are usually able to convince them to look at where their confirmation email came from. Not from us. You’d be suprised how vehmently some people argue. We have also gotten phone calls in this same manner where there was a mighty bit of detective work on my part to convince the person they weren’t a patient here but we’d be happy to help them. That call usually ends in an I’m sorry and they decide to call the place they actually went to.
3) We would like something that reflects a little bit more of what we have become. We are a boutique optical with frame lines that are unique and independent and most are not carried elsewhere. We love our glasses. Vision Center really doesn’t convery what our practice is. Do we help with vision rehabilitation, do we file benefits, what is a vision center really? I feel like it doesn’t clearly and concisely convey what we do.
After nearly 2 years of putting our heads together trying to think of something, Danielle finally picked a name that we all love…. Bright Side Optical. I’ve applied for the name with the state and we are waiting for confirmation but hopefully it’ll be ours!
